To the left I have just added two resources. Brainpop is a resource for teachers that will allow students to explore science concepts at home for reteach or fun.

Also there is a Handwriting Without Tears website to print out additional handwriting practice. We have studied "Frog Jump" capitals, and H, K, and L. You can make custom worksheets there and print them out as well. To log in:

Today the students attended an assembly about career pictures. This is an opportunity for them to learn about their future careers and encourage post-high school level education by choosing professional leadership roles, getting their picture taken in that role, and then getting information about how they can become that type of leader. It would be awesome to see all of the types of leaders that we have in our class. Pictures are tomorrow for this and order forms are available on the Teravista website. ONLY STUDENTS WHO PURCHASED PICTURES WILL TAKE THEM.

We are also collecting food for the Round Rock serving center. We have encouraged students to bring healthy and tasty non-perishables for people who are in need this holiday season. It is important to us that first grade leads in the effort - and our motto is "First Grade Feeds."

This Friday at 8:00 am we will honor our Veteran's with a Veteran's Day program. Please come if you are able and especially if you are in or have been in one of our armed forces. We would love to honor you this day!
